About us
Ferdinand Stölben founded the company in 1989 at the age of 32 after studying geology in Freiburg and gaining his first professional experience in this branch of science.
He initially worked from the premises of his home, where the first office was located, and initially employed three people. Two years after the company was founded, in 1991, it moved to Pünderich in order to meet the growing demands. In 2003, Mr Stölben built a new office building in his home town of Zell an der Mosel, which is still the company’s headquarters today.
In 2017, Michael Zirbes and Laura Stölben were appointed as new managing directors, heralding an exciting new phase for the company. Michael Zirbes has been with the company since 2006, initially as a project manager, and has made a significant contribution to its success through his work. Laura Stölben joined the team in 2014 after completing her business studies and has been contributing her expertise and experience ever since.
Today, the company employs 30 people, has 20 machines and is internationally orientated. The founding members, who have retired after a long career, remain connected to the company in a pleasant way and contribute to the family atmosphere. The valuable knowledge they have accumulated over the years has been carefully passed on to the next generation so that it remains alive in the company.
